so i wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone, and so started rifling through my lipstick collection. i came across mac queen sin, from the antiquitease collection in 2007 (i believe) so i've had it a little while! after the trusty smell inspection to ensure it hadn't gone off, i decided to try it. and then i remembered why i dislike it so much on me. a frosty red that leans pink and isn't all that flattering, despite the crazy prices it goes for on ebay. i wore it out for some food and i didn't get any weird looks so it can't of been that hideous but i just don't really like it.
yeahhh... no.

i do really like the concept and the edginess that bright lips gives you, and so i am currently resisting purchasing scarlet ibis from the mac iris apfel collection, i just really want it but probably won't wear it. i only ever seem to wear various shades of nude, so i would welcome any mac lipstick suggestions.
I think this looks lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair xx
Gorgeous! I think the red lippie looks lovely on you :) x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, your lips are so plump, jealous!
ReplyDeleteI'm still yet to use the red lipstick I bought a while ago and get comfortable with it!
x
aw thank youu everyone!
ReplyDelete@marie i actually don't like my full lips, i find its one of my main reasons for feeling awkward with brighter lipstick like i'm just one giant set of lips and no other facial features...
I love it! ...very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think this lipstick looks lovely on you! I love bright lipsticks and I'm liking 3 or 4 of the lipsticks from the Iris Apfel collection. As far as nude lipsticks from MAC, I'm a big fan of Creme d'Nude.
ReplyDeletei think it really suits you :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI like it! If you don't want it, I'll buy it off ya! :D x
ReplyDeleteI think red lipstick looks great on you! I want to wear some more bright colours this year :) I think its good to sometimes step out of your comfort zone! It looks lovely xxx
ReplyDeleteThe red looks nice on you! I'm not really a fan of frost finish so I'd recommend something like Red (satin finish) or New Temptation (Sheen Supreme finish).
ReplyDeleteMy favourite MAC lipsticks are Creme Cup or Lovelorn for a 'safe' look, and Girl About Town or Pink Nouveau when I'm feeling daring!
You're so pretty. I suggest you get a matte, pure red lipstick. No shimmer, no two-toned, no nothing, just red. You have modelesque blonde hair and blue eyes, so you will be able to pull it off amazingly. I suggest MAC's MAC Red lipstick, if you don't have it already. I think a light-to-medium purple will look gorgeous on you too, with a winged-out gel liner.
ReplyDeleteLove it on you!!!
ReplyDeletethis colour looks nice on you honey! I think it would be better if it was more matt (cant spell it) rather than shiney and wet looking on your lips, that would make it look a bit more sophisticated I think. But it does look lovely and I think a bright red without pink in it would look gorgeous too x
